Summary of Position
The Thrift Store Associate is responsible for those activities involved with sizing and pricing parcels for resale
in the Thrift Store as well as assisting the store’s customers and displaying merchandise. This is a part time
nonexempt position.

Reports to the Thrift Store & Depot Manager

Responsibilities
1. Assists customers with their sales, implementing the highest level of customer service.
a. Operates cash register to ensure customer’s sales are accurately processed.
2. Prices and professionally displays merchandise in the Thrift Store and Depot.
3. Maintains a store that is clean, organized and appealing to the public – noting items in need and
sharing this information with the Thrift Store & Depot Manager.
4. Performs other responsibilities as requested by the Thrift Store & Depot Manager.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills required
• Previous retail or customer service training desired
• Must have the ability to positively portray the mission of St. Joseph’s Indian School
• Valid Driver’s License
Physical Demands
• Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 20 lbs without
assistance.
• Uses both hands and wrists repetitively for prolonged periods.
• Regularly bends, stoops, and crouches.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Uses the abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly over time without
becoming fatigue.
Expectations of Hours Worked
10:00am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday (no weekends)
